This week, Liz and I took a detour from the main storyline to get lost in the neighborhood we’ve called “home” for most of our playthroughs—Watson.

“Tourist Information - Waston” of The Corpo and the Streetkid is about peeling back the layers of Night City’s first district and appreciating it as more than just a tutorial zone.

Watson might be your starting point, but it’s also a wild, textured, and deeply chaotic space that sets the tone for everything Cyberpunk 2077 throws at you later.

We discussed the four major subdistricts: Little China, Kabuki, Northside, and the Arasaka Waterfront. My favorite? It’s hard to pick.

I love the Blade Runner vibe of Northside’s smokestacks and factories, but there’s something magnetic about Little China’s neon sprawl and sheer density.

Kabuki’s layered verticality is its flavor of madness—and great for rooftop parkour. Every part of Watson has a personality, and we spent time nerding out about how CD Projekt Red gave each one a distinct pulse.

We also spent a lot of time on Regina Jones, Watson’s fixer and a staple in your early gigs. She doesn’t have the same flash as El Capitan or Dino, but she’s got depth and a quiet strength I’ve come to appreciate more on replays. Regina’s gig economy is the biggest in the game, and we went deep into why that matters—both for V and for the world-building of Night City.

Speaking of gigs, we highlighted a few standouts: “Flight of the Cheetah” introduced us to the lovable motormouth cheetah character, “Concrete Cage Trap” presents a challenge for stealth lovers, and “Dirty Biz”… well, let’s say it stirred our darker instincts.

Then, the people make Watson feel alive—or deeply unsettling. We gave honorable mentions to legends like Barry the Neighbor (and his turtle, Andrew), Flaming Crotch Man, and, of course, Nibbles the Cat.

We even touched on Sandra Dorsett’s unexpected return and Gary the Prophet’s absolute chaos.

Watson might be the first stop on the Night City tour, but it’s so much more than that. It’s dense with stories, color, and heart. This episode is our love letter to the place where the game—and V’s journey—begins.
